For more than 20 years, readerships have been offered by these chambers to assist counsel starting at the Bar.
The terms of the readerships allow new counsel the opportunity to start their practice with the support of an established group, and all necessary library and secretarial resources, at a modest cost. Readerships are ordinarily available for a period of about six months, from the end of one Bar Practice Course (March or August) to the end of the next course.
